Job Description

We are seeking a Cloud DevOps Automation Engineer with strong skills in Ansible, Linux administration, PowerShell or Python scripting to join our Fabric Development Automation team. This team supports IBM Cloud's infrastructure with focus on performance, resiliency, and security at global scale.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement and automate infrastructure solutions supporting IBM Cloud products.
• Build and set up test automation and pipeline frameworks.
• Administer automated CI/CD systems and tools for development and test teams.
• Support compliance and security integrity of the environment.
• Collaborate with teams to develop alerting and monitoring for mission-critical services.
• Enhance capabilities for compute infrastructure services.
• Provide technical escalation support for Infrastructure Operations teams.

Required Technical & Professional Expertise

• 8+ years as an infrastructure engineer delivering large-scale solutions.
• Expertise in RHEL, CentOS Linux, and Windows Servers.
• Experience with virtualization technologies: Citrix Hypervisor, VMware vSphere, Ubuntu KVM, etc.
• Programming skills in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ruby, Go.
• Familiarity with infrastructure tools/products: Active Directory, Ansible, Chef.
• Experience with container technologies: Kubernetes, Docker.
• Monitoring technologies knowledge: Zabbix, Splunk.
• Network and storage technologies experience.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluent, GitHub.

Nice to Have

• Experience with message queues, PostgreSQL/MySQL, NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with data processing tools: Kafka, Elasticsearch, Splunk.
• Experience with event monitoring/management ecosystems: Zabbix, Nagios, Sysdig, LogDNA, ServiceNow.
