We’re looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about troubleshooting, technical support, and working with a variety of technologies. As a key part of our Technical Services team, you'll support customers like PayTM and Reddit, helping them integrate our communication solutions into their platforms (Video/Chat/SMS).


What You Will Do:

  • Technical Troubleshooting:
    • Diagnose and resolve customer-reported issues, reproducing problems and identifying the root cause.
  • Product Knowledge:
    • Develop a deep understanding of SendBird's technology and underlying architecture.
  • Tool Development:
    • Build tools that expedite the troubleshooting process.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with engineering teams to improve products and ensure high-quality service.
  • Customer Support:
    • Provide enterprise-level customer support within agreed SLAs (Service Level Agreements), managing service metrics and responding to inquiries across various communication channels.
  • Shift Rotation:
    • Participate in a flexible shift rotation to support customer inquiries, especially those from EMEA (2 pm - 11 pm IST).

Who You Are:

  • Communication Skills:
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong empathy for customer needs.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Familiar with basic web technologies (HTTP, HTML, RestfulAPI, WebSocket).
    • Knowledge of mobile platforms such as iOS, Android, React Native, React, or Angular.
  • Experience:
    • 1-2 years of professional experience in technical support or a similar role.
    • Understanding of SaaS software, API servers, and SDK components.
  • Debugging Skills:
    • Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex systems in web servers, databases, and mobile devices.

It’s Helpful If You Also Have:

  • Startup Experience:
    • Experience working with an API startup.
  • Customer Support Tools:
    • Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce or Jira.
  • Programming Skills:
    • Ability to read and debug code, with knowledge of at least one programming language or over 1 year of experience as a software engineer.
