Job Description

Sasken Technologies Ltd is a specialist in Product Engineering and Digital Transformation, offering concept-to-market and chip-to-cognition R&D services. As a Software Test & Release Engineer, you will contribute to building cutting-edge products across telecommunications and digital networks.

Job Summary

This is an operationally oriented role where you will apply broad or specialized knowledge of software test and release practices. You'll be involved in modifying and improving existing systems, all under the supervision of a Team Lead or Project Manager.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, debug, and provide documentation and technical support.
• Ensure on-time delivery while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
• Follow process guidelines, submit progress reports, and adhere to project checklists.
• Participate in technical training, self-learning, and regular assessments to enhance your skillset.

Required Education and Experience

• Engineering graduate (B.E/B.Tech) or MCA.
• 0–2 years of experience in a related field.

Key Competencies

• Modem/UE Protocol Stack Testing on 2G/3G/LTE/5G technologies.
• Interoperability testing with network vendors (e.g., Ericsson, Nokia, Alcatel-Lucent).
• Understanding of network signaling and user/data plane scenarios.
• Proficiency in 3GPP RAT protocols including L2, L3, NAS layers.
• Ability to write and execute test cases; perform regression testing.

Platforms & Tools

• Platforms: Linux host, customer-specific platforms.
• Tools: QXDM, QCAT, QPST, Prism, Anritsu, Keysight, RTD.
• Logging and trace tools, core dump analysis tools, flashing tools.

Technologies & Languages

• Technologies: 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, VSAT, SatCom.
• Standards: Thorough knowledge of 3GPP specifications and network vendor requirements.
• Languages: Python, Perl, Shell, TCL, TTCN, C, C++.
