Job Overview – Junior System Engineer

Sapaad is hiring a Junior System Engineer to join the Cloud Infrastructure & Application Monitoring team.
This role is designed for fresh graduates or early-career professionals (0–1 years of experience) who are passionate about cloud technologies, DevOps, and IT infrastructure.

As part of this role, you will:

• Work with senior engineers to manage Sapaad’s global SaaS systems.
• Gain hands-on exposure to AWS, Heroku, Datadog, Logtail, Cloudflare, Postgres, Redis, and more.
• Learn best practices in monitoring, incident response, and system optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor cloud infrastructure and applications for performance, uptime, and security.
• Support day-to-day operations on Heroku and AWS.
• Troubleshoot production issues under senior engineers’ guidance.
• Configure monitoring dashboards and alerts (Datadog, Logtail, CloudWatch).
• Perform routine database checks (Postgres, Redis) and assist with backups/maintenance.
• Learn and implement cloud security best practices (IAM roles, security groups, WAF, DNS).
• Participate in incident response & RCA (Root Cause Analysis) processes.
• Collaborate with developers to optimize infrastructure performance.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and SOPs.
• Contribute to R&D initiatives to improve processes and systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• B.Tech / BE / M.Sc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Familiarity with monitoring & logging tools (Datadog, Logtail, CloudWatch).
• Cloud certifications (AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals) are a plus.
