Role Description

As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Salesforce, you will manage a large-scale Kubernetes and microservices platform, ensuring high availability and reliability. You’ll troubleshoot production issues, automate workflows, and improve monitoring capabilities. The role involves working on distributed systems, automation, and enhancing platform efficiency.

Required Skills and Experience

• Operating Large-Scale Distributed Systems in cloud environments
• Troubleshooting Complex Production Issues across multiple disciplines
• Linux Systems Administration, including Linux internals
• Proficient in Python, GoLang, or similar scripting languages
• Knowledge of Networking Protocols: TCP/IP, Switches, Routers, Load Balancers
• Experience with DevOps tools: Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.
• Familiarity with Monitoring Tools: Nagios, Grafana, Zabbix
• Expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, Service Mesh
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, Spinnaker
• Continuous Learning and critical thinking mindset
• Team player with excellent communication skills

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Kubernetes clusters, microservices platforms, and cloud-based services
• Automate day-to-day operations using Python, GoLang, Terraform, Jenkins, and others
• Improve platform visibility by implementing monitoring and metrics
• Build self-healing systems to proactively address operational issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to meet evolving challenges
