Role Overview

The SRE Support Engineer (Entry Level) role focuses on system monitoring, cloud operations, incident response, and site reliability support. This position is ideal for candidates building careers in high-paying cloud, DevOps, SRE, FinTech, and banking technology domains.

You will work closely with Site Reliability Engineers, Developers, and Cloud Engineers to ensure high availability, performance, and security of mission-critical financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

System Monitoring & Incident Response

• Continuously monitor system dashboards and cloud monitoring tools to detect anomalies or performance degradation.
• Respond to alerts promptly, diagnose issues, resolve incidents, or escalate to appropriate engineering teams.
• Communicate system issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Cloud Operations & Maintenance

• Perform scheduled system checks, updates, patches, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure systems meet enterprise reliability, security, and compliance standards used in banking and financial services.
• Maintain accurate documentation reflecting system changes and upgrades.

Reliability Engineering & Collaboration

• Maintain detailed logs of system incidents, resolutions, and anomalies.
• Contribute to post-incident reviews and postmortems to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with SREs, Developers, and Infrastructure teams to understand system architecture and changes.

Automation & Continuous Improvement

• Use Python, JavaScript, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and process improvement.
• Stay current with monitoring tools, SRE best practices, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity trends.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical expertise.

Support Operations

• Work in a 24/7 support environment from office as part of shift rotations.
• Support systems used in mortgage servicing, lending platforms, and financial technology ecosystems.

Required Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in Cloud Support, SRE Support, or IT Operations.
• Foundational understanding of system architecture, networking, and cloud technologies.
• Experience using monitoring and observability tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Basic to intermediate programming/scripting skills:
