Job Overview

As an SDE I – DevOps Engineer, you will join a high-impact team responsible for building and maintaining secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure for Safe Security’s digital risk management platform. This role is perfect for professionals early in their DevOps career (1–3 years), passionate about automation, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines.

Core Responsibilities

• CI/CD Pipeline Support: Assist in building, maintaining, and improving pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Automation & DevOps Tooling: Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Infrastructure Management: Manage AWS-based infrastructure, including Dockerized microservices on ECS or Kubernetes.
• Monitoring & Observability: Configure monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog to ensure system performance.
• Incident Response: Participate in incident resolution, root cause analysis, and postmortems.
• Collaboration: Work with engineering and operations teams to implement DevOps best practices.
• Cloud Cost Optimization: Track cloud usage and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with emerging DevOps and cloud technologies.

Qualifications / Essential Skills

• 1–3 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure-focused roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud architecture.
• Practical knowledge of Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible.
• Experience with Docker and basic container orchestration (ECS or Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
• Basic scripting in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Exposure to monitoring/logging tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases and basic performance optimization techniques.
