About the Role:
Rocket Software is looking for an Associate Technical Support Engineer to support clients using Rocket’s mission-critical software solutions. This role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving software issues, while also helping internal engineering teams with accurate bug reports and reproducible cases. If you're passionate about technology, problem-solving, and customer support, this role is for you!


Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle Level II support for assigned products
  • Troubleshoot installation, configuration, and functionality issues
  • Validate business impact statements and understand customer priorities
  • Research using documentation and internal knowledge base
  • Reproduce customer issues and recommend solutions
  • Create detailed and reusable case tracking documentation
  • Mentor junior support staff and contribute to internal knowledge
  • Participate in internal initiatives and cross-functional collaboration
  • Occasionally provide after-hours or weekend support

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in technical support or software engineering roles
  • Strong technical knowledge of computer systems and software products
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities
  • Familiarity with enterprise environments and customer-facing support

Nice to Have:

  • Experience using testing tools, scripts, or automation in support workflows
  • Ability to mentor peers and contribute to training materials
  • Self-directed and proactive in continuous learning
  • Comfortable documenting technical collateral
