Job Overview

As a DevOps Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing Unix-based environments, automating provisioning, and ensuring system reliability and security. You will work on high-availability infrastructure, enforce compliance standards, and optimize systems for performance and scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage applications, databases, web servers (especially Nginx), and proxies on Unix-based systems
• Ensure uptime across a large server fleet (goal: zero downtime)
• Monitor infrastructure health and respond to security vulnerabilities in real time
• Perform server upgrades, patching, and scheduled health checks
• Implement and manage logging, alerting, and monitoring systems (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
• Enforce security and compliance policies (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001)
• Troubleshoot and fix critical infrastructure issues, including outside working hours
• Automate provisioning using Bash, Python, Shell scripting, Terraform, or Ansible

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Unix/Linux system administration
• Experience with Nginx, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Redis
• Hands-on with server hardening, patching, and security management
• Scripting proficiency in Bash, Shell, or Python
• Familiarity with cloud platforms: AWS, DigitalOcean, GCP, etc.
• Experience with monitoring tools: Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus
• Exposure to SOC 2 or ISO 27001 (preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting and on-call support capability

Nice to Have

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Git
• Familiarity with network/firewall configurations
