Job Overview
The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will be responsible for ensuring the availability, scalability, and reliability of distributed systems. The role involves improving observability, automating infrastructure, enhancing system performance, and contributing to the development of resilient infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities

  • Improve observability through monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, ELK stack, Grafana)
  • Monitor performance metrics using APM tools like Dynatrace and New Relic
  • Define SLIs, SLOs, and manage error budgets
  • Participate in incident management, on-call rotations, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and IaC principles
  • Ensure system scalability, reliability, and performance in distributed environments
  • Apply cybersecurity best practices and ensure compliance policies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve release pipelines and minimize deployment risks
  • Maintain and enhance disaster recovery plans
  • Manage and optimize workflows using Apache Airflow
  • Support Snowflake data operations, including query optimization and security compliance

Qualifications & Certifications
Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields

Experience:

  • 2.5 to 5 years in Site Reliability Engineering, Observability, or Performance Monitoring

Technical Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Prometheus, ELK, and Grafana
  • Proficiency in APM tools like Dynatrace, New Relic, or Datadog
  • Infrastructure automation using Terraform
  • Experience with distributed systems operations and scaling
  • Load testing and performance analysis (JMeter, k6, Locust)
  • Security at scale, vulnerability scanning, and compliance automation
  • Workflow automation with Apache Airflow
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
  • Troubleshooting high-traffic distributed systems
  • Linux, networking, and security fundamentals
  • Container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Automation scripting (Python, Bash, Go)

Preferred Certifications:

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
  • HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
  • Google SRE Professional Certificate (Preferred)
