Job Role: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Deployment Team
Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience: Experienced in SRE, Systems Operations, or System Administration
Salary: As per company standards
Job Location: Bangalore, India
Job Responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, and support Linux- and Windows-based web applications
- Participate in and own various software release cycles
- Ensure smooth and reliable software delivery across environments
- Perform pre-production tests in staging environments
- Deploy, configure, and maintain RingCentral application services
- Monitor, plan, and execute software capacity expansions and security patching
- Respond to alerts and escalations from monitoring systems
- Troubleshoot service issues
Skills Required:
- Strong experience in Linux systems administration
- Remote server administration expertise
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux systems
- Experience with Load Balancers, Routers, Firewalls, VLAN, TCP/IP, VoIP, DNS, and HTTP/S
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Shell, Python, Batch, and PowerShell
- Familiarity with Terraform or Ansible for infrastructure as code
- Experience with Incident, Problem, and Change Management
- Version control experience with GIT
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes
- Experience with public cloud platforms like AWS (Amazon) and GCP (Google)
- Flexibility to support both morning and evening shifts
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in software deployment across diverse environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with change management practices
- Knowledge of HTTP applications like Nginx and Java-based applications
