Job Description:
RedSwitches is hiring a Junior Linux Administrator to support our global infrastructure team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or junior professionals looking to grow their career in cloud computing and Linux server administration. You'll work with experienced engineers and gain hands-on experience managing bare-metal cloud infrastructure.

We recently launched the RedSwitches Cloud Management App to simplify server management — including ordering, billing, monitoring, and automation tools. This role is ideal for candidates looking to enter remote IT jobs, cloud support roles, or high-paying Linux admin jobs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain Linux server performance and uptime
• Assist with server setup, configuration, and patch management
• Troubleshoot server, hardware, and networking issues
• Perform regular backups, updates, and security checks
• Work with senior engineers to optimize infrastructure performance
• Maintain internal documentation, procedures, and SOPs
• Continuously learn new technologies and internal systems

Required Skills:

• Basic Linux CLI proficiency and server administration knowledge
• Familiarity with SSH, remote tools, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
• Basic understanding of server hardware components
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as Linux+, RHCSA, or equivalent
• Exposure to Bash, Python, or other scripting languages
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus
