Site Reliability Engineer – Quvia

Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu (Hybrid)

About the Role

Quvia is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our satellite communication systems powered by AI and ML. You will be responsible for maintaining infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and troubleshooting complex issues in a mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

System Reliability & Monitoring

  • Design, implement, and maintain monitoring and alerting systems for high availability.
  • Identify and address bottlenecks, vulnerabilities, and reliability challenges proactively.
  • Ensure infrastructure supports AI and ML workloads at scale, with automation and efficiency.

Infrastructure Management & Automation

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AI/ML applications.
  • Optimize cloud-native architectures on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Automate scaling, deployment, and configuration for fault tolerance.

Incident Management & Root Cause Analysis

  • Lead incident response efforts, troubleshooting, and resolution of production issues.
  • Conduct post-mortem analysis to improve reliability and performance.
  • Implement best practices for incident documentation and feedback loops.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with AI/ML developers, software engineers, and network engineers to optimize system performance.
  • Collaborate with satellite engineers to integrate AI/ML solutions into the communication stack.
  • Develop internal tools and dashboards for improved system transparency.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement security best practices for AI/ML data privacy and satellite communication.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in collaboration with security teams.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years experience in SRE, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.).
  • Familiarity with AI/ML system scaling and production management.
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, Go, or other scripting languages for automation.

Preferred:

  • Experience with satellite communication systems or space-based infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols for satellite communication.
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
  • Understanding of disaster recovery and high-availability cloud configurations.
  • Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect, etc.).
