Job Description
As a DevOps Engineer (L1 Technical Support), you will assist with monitoring and installation of Linux environments, manage security on Linux systems, and deliver superior deployment and integration support. You'll work closely with the team to gather requirements related to deployment, integration, and architecture.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and scripting
- Installation and configuration of Linux for new environments
- Setting up Production, Staging, and Development Environments on cloud servers
- Patch planning and cluster switching
- JIRA administration and agile support
- VPC, DNS, DHCP server configuration and storage management
- Interacting with customers to gather deployment and integration requirements
- Architecting monitoring systems for system applications
- Working in agile teams and providing Linux server support
Required Skills
- 1+ years of experience in L1 Technical Support
- Strong Linux experience (installation, configuration, monitoring)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Nagios, etc.)
- Experience with version control tools (Bitbucket, GitHub, Subversion)
- Familiarity with JIRA and Agile tools
- Exposure to Windows Server 2016+
- Networking experience with Switching/Routing
- Database management experience (Postgres/MySQL)
- Scripting knowledge (Shell, Python, batch scripting is a plus)
- Excellent communication skills
