Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Java Developer to join our development team. In this entry-level position, you will work closely with senior developers and other members of the team to design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to kick-start their career in software development and gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of Java applications.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code according to best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve skills.
  • Participate in agile development processes, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Basic understanding of Java programming language and its ecosystems (e.g., Spring, Hibernate).
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and SQL.
  • Understanding of software development methodologies, particularly Agile.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Required Skills:

  • Java, J2EE, Docker, preferably on AWS.
  • Strong understanding of collections frameworks and their application in Java development.
  • Proven experience in developing APIs, web services using REST/JSON, and micro-service design patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with unit testing, continuous integration, and Agile development.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, and SonarQube.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to changing requirements.
  • Swagger & API design, Java, Springboot, Hibernate, SQL DB, RESTful API design on Swagger, Light4J.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
