This role blends DevOps, SRE, Cloud Infrastructure, and Automation Engineering, enabling you to work on cutting-edge platforms that power large-scale data storage systems.

You will design, deploy, and maintain high-performance infrastructure services that accelerate product development and ensure ultra-reliable engineering environments across the organization.

The Role

Join the Engineering Productivity (EP) team to build, secure, and scale the core infrastructure powering next-generation data storage technologies.
This role has high visibility and massive business impact—ensuring low latency, high uptime, and efficient automation for mission-critical systems.

What You’ll Do

1. Elevate Service Reliability

• Define, monitor, and enforce SLOs and error budgets.
• Ensure reliability for core test infrastructure: databases, APIs, message queues.
• Guide development efforts to improve system health.

2. Drive Infrastructure Automation

• Architect and implement automated solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Manage and scale virtualization and orchestration environments:
  • VMs
  • OpenStack
  • Kubernetes
• Support global deployment environments with automated provisioning.

3. Optimize Developer Velocity

• Own and maintain high-performance CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and improve Jenkins and deployment systems.
• Reduce release cycle time for FlashBlade engineering teams.

4. Act as a Critical Service Owner

• Lead deep debugging and performance analysis across distributed systems.
• Manage essential services such as DNS, LDAP, Kerberos, Nomad.
• Participate in follow-the-sun on-call rotation to safeguard service uptime.

What You Bring

Programming & Automation Expertise

• Strong coding skills in Python, Go, or Java.
• Expertise in IaC tools such as Ansible or Terraform.

SRE & Systems Debugging Mastery

• Data-driven approach to debugging distributed systems.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and performance monitoring.

Cloud Native & Linux Fundamentals

• Hands-on experience with:
  • Linux/Unix systems
  • Docker containers
  • Kubernetes, Nomad, OpenStack

Network & Core Service Management

• Experience handling DNS, DHCP, LDAP, Active Directory, Kerberos.
• Strong understanding of L2/L3 network troubleshooting.

Availability & Ownership

• Ready to participate in 24x7 on-call rotation (approx. 1 week every 2–3 months).
• Commitment to system reliability and rapid incident response.

Work Environment

• Primarily in-office role at the Bangalore site.
• Remote work allowed only on approved leave, travel, or PTO.
