Position Overview

Pqxel Inc. is seeking a motivated Junior DevOps Engineer Intern to join our growing team. This role is ideal for candidates early in their DevOps career looking to gain real-world experience with hands-on mentorship. You’ll work closely with engineers on automating infrastructure, maintaining systems, and supporting deployments.

• This is a FULL-TIME unpaid internship for the first 3 months.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and monitoring AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, IAM, etc.).
• Support Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Collaborate with developers to automate build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Write shell/Bash scripts for automation and configuration.
• Monitor performance, availability, and incident response.
• Follow cloud security best practices.
• Document processes and configurations.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3).
• Comfortable with Linux command line and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.
• Understanding of Git and version control.
• Ability to write Bash or Python scripts.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn.
• Good communication skills and team collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Basic understanding of networking and cloud architecture.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus).
• Degree in Computer Science or related field (not mandatory).

Compensation & Timeline

• 0–3 Months: Unpaid (Probation)
• 3–6 Months: ₹5,000/month stipend
• 6–12 Months: ₹10,000/month stipend
• Project Commission: 1% of project Gross Profit
  • Example: On a $20,000 project, commission = $200 (~₹12,000 INR)

Work Conditions

• Remote role, may be invited for local events.
• Must work 4–8 hours per day, with overlapping EST time for meetings.
• Occasional extended hours or weekend work may be required.
