Role Overview

As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) I, you will play a crucial role in managing, automating, and optimizing the infrastructure for Ping Identity’s On-Demand SaaS services. You will work within a DevOps model, collaborating with development teams to ensure scalability, security, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain AWS-based production infrastructure.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for global infrastructure deployment.
• Monitor and troubleshoot complex system performance issues.
• Implement observability, alerts, and runbooks.
• Automate Linux systems administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Manage traffic routing, capacity planning, and security policies for SaaS applications.
• Participate in on-call rotations (8 hours/day, 7 days a week).
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to key initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering / DevOps.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Strong expertise in Linux/Unix system administration.
• Experience provisioning cloud resources using Terraform / CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of Kafka, Redis, Elasticache, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab, Argo CD, Jenkins.
• Scripting proficiency in Python, Ruby, Bash, or Go.
• Understanding of networking, security principles, and relational/noSQL databases.
• Experience with observability tools like NewRelic, Grafana, CloudWatch.
