Job Description
PIB Group is hiring a hands-on AWS Cloud Engineer to support and manage its cloud infrastructure operations. The role is operations-focused, requiring close collaboration with infrastructure, application, DevOps, and support teams to maintain high availability, performance, and security of AWS workloads.
This is a great opportunity for professionals with up to 3 years of experience looking to work in a fast-paced, cloud-centric IT operations environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, etc.)
- Perform routine cloud operations like patching, backups, and EC2 maintenance
- Monitor infrastructure using CloudWatch, SNS, and similar tools
- Troubleshoot AWS incidents, perform root cause analysis, and ensure rapid resolution
- Handle access management, resource tagging, and IAM role updates
- Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and App Support teams
- Maintain operational runbooks and adhere to change control procedures
- Support teams with environment provisioning and configuration changes
Required Skills
- Experience with AWS platform in an operational/support role
- Good knowledge of Linux/Windows server administration in cloud environments
- Familiarity with monitoring/alerting tools like CloudWatch, SNS
- Understanding of AWS security best practices (IAM, patching, VPCs, etc.)
- Experience working with ticketing systems and operational runbooks
Preferred / Nice to Have
- AWS Certification (Cloud Practitioner, SysOps Administrator, or higher)
- Knowledge of Python scripting for automation
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., Insurance, Finance)
- Familiarity with enterprise networking in AWS (route tables, NAT gateways, etc.)
