Role Overview

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for technical delivery on technology projects related to Snowflake, Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure), and services hosted in the cloud. You will support and manage modern data platforms, respond to incidents, solve complex problems, and stay current with new technologies in a rapidly evolving field.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support modern data platforms (streaming, data lakes, analytics).
• Execute tasks and resolve issues related to various projects and technical stacks.
• Provide operational support for cloud-native data warehouses (Snowflake/Redshift).
• Troubleshoot and solve challenging customer problems in a 24/7 support environment.
• Participate in 24/7 rotational shifts.
• Learn and grow within the Managed Services technology stack.

Required Experience

• Strong knowledge of SQL for querying, debugging, and optimizing.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (Oracle, MSSQL).
• Experience in production support for cloud-native data technologies (AWS/Azure).
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and SLA-driven support environments.
• Troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
• Client-facing communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and train others.

Preferred Experience

• Certifications in Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or Databricks.
• Experience with data integration technologies (Spark, Kafka, Fivetran, etc.).
• Production support for Cloud and Distributed Data Storage technologies (S3, ADLS, HDFS).
• Familiarity with workflow management tools (Airflow, AWS Managed Airflow, NiFi).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Bitbucket, Github, Flyway).
• Expertise in automating tasks with scripting languages (Python).
