Overview

Perimattic is hiring a Junior DevOps Engineer with 1.5 to 2 years of experience. This is a full-time remote opportunity based out of India (Mumbai/Maharashtra preferred).
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), CI/CD Automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, Monitoring, and Containerization.
Immediate joiners are strongly preferred.

About the Role

As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will support cloud infrastructure, deployment workflows, and system reliability. You will collaborate with engineering teams to automate operations, optimize performance, and maintain secure, scalable environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Manage and enhance CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployments.
• Work with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Support serverless architectures using AWS Lambda or equivalent services.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, deployments, and infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure smooth and secure software delivery.
• Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
• Maintain clear documentation for systems, workflows, automations, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1.5 to 2 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles.
• Working knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred; GCP/Azure a plus).
• Experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.
• Hands-on scripting/automation experience: Python, Bash, or similar.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, security best practices, and Linux systems.
• Experience with serverless technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda) is an added advantage.

• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools.
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application management.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
