About the Role

Panasonic is seeking a highly motivated SDE 1 to join our engineering team in Pune. This role involves real-time embedded software development, OS/kernel configuration (Linux/VxWorks), and hardware-software integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain real-time/embedded software in C/C++
• Configure OS/Kernel for Linux/VxWorks (BSP) for various architectures
• Develop device drivers, client-server applications, and support network security
• Design, implement, and refine software from specifications
• Integrate, test, debug, and enhance software for performance and robustness
• Prepare documentation, functional diagrams, and logic flows
• Analyze system testing results and support system test programs
• Contribute to the development of software tools for reuse and testing
• Troubleshoot and debug embedded systems

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering (or equivalent)
• 0–3 years of professional experience

---

Skills Required

• Proficiency in C/C++ programming within Linux
• Experience with TCP/IP network programming and device drivers
• Familiarity with multimedia development (e.g., streaming audio/video) is a plus
• Knowledge of network security concepts
• Strong debugging and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a collaborative team
• Understanding of software development lifecycles and engineering documentation
• Willingness to travel up to 5%
