Job Description:
As an SDE I, you will assist in the research, development, and maintenance of real-time and embedded software, working primarily with Linux and VxWorks OS/kernel configurations. You will develop software in C/C++, focusing on hardware device drivers, client-server networking applications, and security methodologies in an aviation context.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and debug real-time embedded software applications
• Configure OS/kernel layers (Linux/VxWorks BSP) across hardware architectures
• Develop C/C++ code for device drivers and networked applications
• Participate in software tool and subsystem development to support testing and reuse
• Analyze, document, and maintain software designs, specifications, and test plans
• Troubleshoot and debug complex system issues
• Collaborate in a small-team environment, supporting internal and external stakeholders
• Support system testing and analyze results for performance improvements

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficient in C/C++ programming in Linux environments
• Experience with TCP/IP networking and device driver development
• Familiarity with network security concepts is a plus
• Exposure to multimedia applications (streaming audio/video) desirable
• Strong analytical and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work in collaborative teams and handle multiple priorities
• Willingness to travel domestically/internationally up to 5%
