Optiv is hiring an Associate Engineer – Security Automation / SOAR to work on cutting-edge cybersecurity automation, including orchestration using tools like Splunk SOAR, XSOAR, and Swimlane. This is a full-time on-site role in Bangalore and an ideal opportunity for early-career professionals who want to make an impact in the cybersecurity automation space.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement SOAR automation solutions
• Translate incident response workflows into automated controls
• Implement orchestration logic using tools like Swimlane, XSOAR, Splunk SOAR, Tines, Exabeam
• Perform health checks, reporting, and troubleshooting to ensure operational integrity
• Collaborate with SOC Operations, Service Delivery, and AppDev teams
• Develop and maintain a knowledge base for efficient issue resolution
• Work in Agile/DevOps teams and participate in CI/CD pipelines

Required Skills

• 1–3 years of software/web development or security automation experience
• Strong programming experience in Python, NodeJS, JavaScript, or TypeScript
• Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Postgres, MySQL)
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with DevOps tools – Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub, Jenkins
• Experience in REST APIs, automation scripting, and incident response modeling
• Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to various stakeholders
• Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns

Preferred Qualifications

• Security certifications or background preferred
• Experience with low-code platforms and data mining tools
• Hands-on with CI/CD tools, security orchestration platforms, and documentation tools
• Ability to create custom algorithms and translate security challenges into code
• Exposure to Swimlane, Splunk SOAR, Cortex XSOAR, Exabeam SOAR is a strong plus
