Job Description
This position is being hired as a backfill to provide support for Infrastructure Planning and Software Asset Management.
Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Ensure software licensing compliance and adherence to licensing policies.
- Work with Software Vendors and sourcing teams for software procurement and renewals.
- Regularly review Free and Open Source products.
- Maintain and update the Software Catalog.
- Handle software install requests.
- Update inventory of software and hardware assets using Asset Explorer Tool.
- Perform periodic license reconciliation.
- Ensure Asset Explorer is updated with new software procurements.
- Track unauthorized software installations using Asset Explorer or other tools.
- Collaborate with users and operations teams in a technical and professional manner.
- Contribute to process and system improvements by collaborating with cross-functional IT teams.
- Document operational processes and developed testing methods.
- Recommend and contribute to process improvements.
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Basic understanding of infrastructure devices (Server, Network, Storage).
- Strong analytical skills and able to interpret data from various sources.
- Knowledge of IT Asset Management Procedures is a plus.
- Good communicator with a natural aptitude for dealing with people.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and handle a wide range of issues.
Work Schedule or Travel Requirements:
- Schedule: Mid – 3:30 PM to 12:30 AM IST.
- Travel: Minimal.
