Job Description
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to manage, develop, and implement solutions for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. In this role, you will work closely with software developers and engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and deploys efficiently. You will serve as the subject matter expert for application deployment-related issues.
Responsibilities
- Recommend, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipeline templates and best practices
- Automate deployment processes and enhance automation technologies across the organization
- Act as a primary point of contact for application deployment issues and needs
- Translate use cases into repeatable processes and system designs
- Collaborate with software developers to ensure proper deployment processes
- Stay current with industry trends, IT operations, and best practices
- Implement CI/CD tools and automation technologies effectively
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience working with CI/CD, focusing on pipeline implementation and deployment
- Experience in automating deployments
- Proficiency with scripting languages: Bash, PowerShell, Python, or YAML
- Working knowledge of databases such as SQL
- Familiar with Git and/or GitHub for version control
- Experience with monitoring & alerting tools like Datadog
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools: GitHub Workflows, Azure Pipelines, GitLab pipelines
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
- Familiarity with cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools: Nagios, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus
- Knowledge of source code management: Git, SVN
- Familiarity with virtualization tools: VirtualBox, VMware, Docker
