Role Overview
Join our team as a Remote Hands / Junior IT Support Engineer assisting with basic IT infrastructure tasks such as server rebooting, cable management, hardware setup, troubleshooting, OS installation, and BIOS configuration.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote hands support in data centers: reboot servers, check cables, configure network settings, provide console/KVM/AnyDesk access
- Assist with hardware installations including racking servers and replacing hard drives
- Support senior engineers in troubleshooting network and power issues
- Perform equipment health checks and report malfunctions
- Follow step-by-step guides for device configuration, testing, and maintenance
- Maintain accurate records using ticketing systems
- Ensure safety and security compliance within data centers
- Monitor Data Centre Health using Grafana, Prometheus, and in-house tools
Requirements
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, cabling, or IT support
- Comfortable handling servers, routers, and cables (prior experience a plus)
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and ask questions when needed
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and accept new challenges
- Basic familiarity with Windows/Linux is helpful but not required
Working Conditions
- Mostly onsite work, including night stays at the data center
- May require on-call shifts for urgent 24/7 support during emergencies
- Physical handling of heavy servers and hardware (moving in/out)
