Position Summary
Nextracker is hiring a Staff DevOps Engineer to lead the design, optimization, and automation of its Azure infrastructure supporting image creation and application development for embedded systems. This is a critical role focused on CI/CD, security key management, and Azure-based DevOps practices that support scalable and secure infrastructure for smart solar technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Azure Environment Management
- Design, maintain, and optimize Azure infrastructure for embedded device development
- Implement best practices for provisioning, monitoring, and scalability of Azure resources
Security Key Management
- Develop secure key generation, storage, and management systems for embedded devices
- Ensure security protocols and industry standards are enforced
Automation & CI/CD
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for development, testing, and deployment
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, system configuration, and environment monitoring
Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with development, hardware, and QA teams
- Mentor junior engineers and share DevOps best practices
Qualifications
Technical Expertise
- Strong experience in Azure DevOps, Azure Virtual Machines, Key Vault
- Skilled in Git, version control workflows, and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
DevOps & Tools
- Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD tools like Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, GitHub Actions
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (preferred)
Security & Infrastructure
- Deep knowledge of key management, infrastructure security, encryption
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure communication protocols
Problem Solving & Leadership
- Strong analytical skills in distributed system troubleshooting
- Proven track record of resolving complex DevOps and cloud challenges
