Job Description

Nextpower is hiring a Cloud Engineer to support enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure, automation, cloud security, and large-scale distributed systems used in next-generation clean energy platforms. The role requires strong cloud computing expertise and hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Technical Skills

Cloud & Architecture

• Strong knowledge of cloud computing technologies, enterprise cloud adoption, and modern cloud trends.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Understanding of application architecture, virtualization, orchestration, and cloud security protocols.
• Experience with Cloud Governance, Data Privacy, Risk Management, Compliance, Data Lifecycle Management, and Ownership.
• Expertise in Big Data architecture, cloud cost optimization, and disaster recovery planning.

Programming & Automation

• Familiarity with Python, Java, and C# for automation and cloud tooling.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines: scripting, feature integration, automated deployments.
• Automation experience to deliver reliable and scalable cloud operations.
• Configuration management: Ansible, Puppet, Chef.

DevOps, Containers & Orchestration

• Hands-on with Docker and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Ability to design and manage scalable deployment environments.

Networking & Security

• Strong understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, and cloud network architectures.
• Design and implement cloud security architecture, including IAM.
• Monitor and analyze security risks, vulnerabilities, and cloud incidents.
• Experience with logging, threat simulation, penetration testing, and incident response.
• Manage cryptography, data encryption, and enterprise data protection.
• Ensure compliance with cloud governance and cloud security best practices.

Preferred Certifications

• CCSP – Certified Cloud Security Professional
• CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional
• CCA – Certified Cloud Architect
• Any major certification from AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus
