Linux Administrator

Company: Netxcell Limited
Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India


Position Overview:

The Linux Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Linux-based systems, ensuring high availability and performance. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience with Linux, Docker, and Nagios, and hands-on experience working with physical servers. Red Hat Linux certification is highly preferred.


Key Responsibilities:

System Administration

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers.
  • Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
  • Manage and monitor server environments using Nagios and other tools.

Containerization

  • Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Docker containers.
  • Optimize container performance and resource usage.

Server Management

  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot physical server hardware.
  • Secure and maintain server infrastructure integrity.

Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting

  • Monitor system performance using Nagios.
  • Detect, diagnose, and resolve performance issues.
  • Conduct system audits and tune system performance.

Security Management

  • Apply best practices for securing Linux servers.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and updates.

Backup & Recovery

  • Manage backups and recovery operations.
  • Develop and test disaster recovery plans.

Collaboration & Support

  • Work with internal IT teams on infrastructure needs.
  • Provide technical support and guidance as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of Linux system administration experience.
  • 2+ years working with Docker containerization.
  • 2+ years using Nagios monitoring tools.
  • Experience with physical servers.
  • Red Hat Linux certification is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, security, and performance tuning.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
