Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to client technology teams
• Troubleshoot issues promptly and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Work on cases from a ticketing system and provide consistent, thorough updates to clients
• Document all work completed and train support staff on client systems
• Engage with clients, lead projects, and act as technical escalation point
• Become an expert in client containerized environments and other Linux/Unix technologies
• Be available for on-call escalations and flexible for long days/weekends when required

Requirements & Skills

• 3–5+ years Linux server administration experience
• Strong understanding of:
  • Linux patch/package management
  • File system technologies: NFS, GlusterFS, AutoFS, Samba, CIFS
  • OS performance tuning
  • Rsync and hardware diagnostics tools
  • Shell scripting
• 2–4+ years storage/network experience from Linux/UNIX perspective:
  • SAN troubleshooting
  • iSCSI troubleshooting
  • Networking issues troubleshooting
• 1–3+ years experience in centralized authentication (e.g., Powerbroker)
• 1–3+ years working with containers (Docker preferred)
• 1–3+ years with automation tools such as Puppet or Ansible
• 2–3+ years VMWare ESXi experience preferred
