As a DevOps Engineer Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience in deploying and managing cloud infrastructure, containerized applications, and modern CI/CD pipelines. Key Responsibilities

Application Hosting & Server Management

• Deploy and manage Python (Django) and Node.js applications
• Configure Nginx as a reverse proxy and web server
• Manage application processes using PM2, Gunicorn, and Uvicorn
• Implement SSL security using Let’s Encrypt or AWS ACM

AWS Cloud & Infrastructure

• Manage workloads on AWS EC2
• Deploy serverless functions with AWS Lambda
• Configure AWS S3 for static assets and backups
• Work with Route 53 and AWS Amplify

CI/CD & Automation

• Automate deployments across staging and production environments
• Manage environment variables and secrets securely
• Improve deployment reliability and implement rollback strategies

Monitoring, Debugging & Support

• Monitor system health, logs, and performance metrics
• Debug deployment, server, and application-level issues
• Assist with incident management and root cause analysis
• Ensure high availability and uptime

Containers & Orchestration

• Build and optimize Docker images
• Use Docker Compose for local and staging environments
• Assist in Kubernetes deployments and cluster operations
• Learn container best practices and scaling strategies

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS / IT / Engineering or equivalent experience
• 6 months – 1 year of hands-on experience in DevOps / Cloud / Hosting
• Experience hosting Django and/or Node.js applications
• Strong knowledge of Nginx configuration
• Experience with PM2, Gunicorn, and Uvicorn
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, S3, Lambda, Route 53, Amplify
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Docker and basic Kubernetes
• Linux server administration and shell scripting

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Knowledge of advanced AWS cloud architecture
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Basic scripting in Python or Bash for automation
• Prior internship or projects in cloud deployments or DevOps
