Job Description – High CPC Optimized

Mimecast is hiring a Cloud Operations Engineer to join its Global Cloud Platform team in Bengaluru. If you're passionate about cloud infrastructure, hybrid environments, Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation, this role is for you. This position supports the reliability of a mission-critical platform that safeguards billions of emails daily.

What You'll Do

• Maintain the resiliency of Mimecast’s hybrid cloud infrastructure for optimal performance and security.
• Improve and operate containerization platforms, especially Kubernetes and AWS EKS.
• Build reusable Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues across Linux systems and Kubernetes clusters.
• Strengthen platform security by aligning configurations with cybersecurity standards.
• Manage observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic, Nagios, Graphite, and LogScale.
• Deliver top-tier support to internal engineering teams across deployment and operations.

Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years in roles such as Cloud Ops, SRE, Platform Engineer, or Linux Admin.
• Deep experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Strong Linux system administration and distributed system troubleshooting skills.
• Foundational expertise in infrastructure components: DNS, IAM, load balancers, web servers.
• Proficiency in IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation; and config management: Puppet.
• Scripting or coding in at least one language (Python, Bash, etc.).
• Strong team communication and collaboration mindset.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CKA, RHCSA, LPIC, AWS SysOps) are a plus.
