Job Description:

Join Merative, where we aim to improve health outcomes globally through data, analytics, and software solutions. As a Desktop Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and support of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and VMware Infrastructure (VDI) environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage AVD/VDI solutions for enterprise environments.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate AVD/VDI with existing systems and applications.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
• Monitor AVD/VDI performance, troubleshooting issues and ensuring optimal user experience.
• Implement security best practices to safeguard AVD/VDI environments.
• Provide tier 2/3 support for incidents and service requests related to AVD/VDI.
• Conduct assessments, recommend, and implement improvements for AVD/VDI environments.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in desktop virtualization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting AVD/VDI solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Monitor, Azure VNet, NSG, and Firewall configurations.
• Expertise in Windows/Linux/MacOS, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra.
• Experience with VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps, and Desktops.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell and Python.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and strong communication abilities.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Virtual Desktop, VMware VCP) are a plus.
