Job Description:
MedMetrix is seeking a highly skilled Senior SQL Developer to join our dynamic data engineering team. This remote opportunity is ideal for professionals with deep experience in SQL Server performance tuning, SSIS packages, and C# or VB.NET scripting. You’ll be responsible for building secure ETL pipelines, optimizing stored procedures, supporting custom reporting, and maintaining high-performance database systems in a fast-paced healthcare analytics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop SSIS-based ETL projects for file transmission, encryption, and archiving
• Perform SQL database performance tuning and optimization
• Design and manage stored procedures, triggers, indexes, and constraints
• Build and support operational SSRS reports for internal teams and clients
• Collaborate with the data team to provide support and resolve issues
• Handle data aggregation, resource analysis, and capacity planning
• Maintain documentation of database architecture and processes
• Handle HIPAA-compliant data processes involving PHI (Protected Health Information)
• Identify inefficiencies in SQL infrastructure and propose scalable solutions
• Manage ad hoc reporting and data requests

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a SQL Developer or Database Engineer
• Strong knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, and advanced T-SQL
• Proficiency in MS SQL Server 2012 or later
• Hands-on experience with C# and/or VB.NET
• In-depth understanding of database design, indexes, and performance tuning
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Excellent problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Understanding of HIPAA and secure data handling protocols
