Job Overview – Cloud Engineer (Associate, Cloud Operations)

MassMutual’s Customer Experience Organization is looking for a highly motivated Cloud Engineer to join the Cloud Operations team.
In this role, you will help implement and enhance digital and data infrastructure, supporting the operational needs of internal customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain cloud infrastructure operations for reliability and performance.
• Implement enhancements to digital and data infrastructure components.
• Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with internal teams to resolve them.
• Assist in monitoring, deployment automation, and performance optimization.
• Ensure system uptime, scalability, and security compliance in the cloud environment.
• Participate in incident response and documentation of best practices.
• Work cross-functionally with technology, security, and operations teams.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in Cloud Operations, DevOps, or System Administration.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems administration and shell scripting.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud Certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP Fundamentals or Associate-level).
• Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, or Splunk.
• Understanding of networking, security groups, IAM policies, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
