About the Team

The Platform Operations team builds and maintains the cloud infrastructure that powers Madhive’s platform. The team focuses on:

• Reliability and scalability
• Cloud security and compliance
• Cost optimization
• Automation and observability
• Cross-functional collaboration

Key Responsibilities

• Improve reliability and stability of cloud services (primarily GCP, with AWS exposure)
• Design and maintain CI/CD tooling (GitHub Workflows, CloudBuild)
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform, Helm, and Infrastructure as Code tools
• Develop and manage monitoring, alerting, and observability systems
• Administer and optimize databases for performance and availability
• Implement database backup, recovery, and scaling strategies
• Enforce cloud security best practices (IAM, policies, permissions)
• Optimize cloud services for performance and cost efficiency
• Collaborate across engineering teams to reduce operational risk

Required Skills

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Strong knowledge of GCP (preferred), AWS or Azure
• Cloud networking and distributed systems understanding
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar tools)

Containerization & DevOps

• Docker and Kubernetes experience
• CI/CD automation and pipeline design
• GitHub Workflows or CloudBuild experience

Programming & Scripting

• Strong Bash scripting
• Golang (required)
• PHP / Python / JavaScript (nice to have)

Database Administration

• Database provisioning and scaling
• Performance tuning and monitoring
• Backup and recovery strategies
• Troubleshooting distributed database systems

Monitoring & Observability

• Google Cloud Monitoring Suite
• Datadog
• AWS CloudWatch
