About the Role – Associate Engineer I (DevOps)

This role is part of the lululemon Technology organization. As a DevOps Engineer, you will work with global engineering teams to build secure, reliable, scalable, and performant systems. The team follows Agile, DevOps, and SRE philosophies to accelerate digital product development and enable business growth.

Core Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, implement, document, and maintain application systems.
• Work on moderately complex to highly complex development assignments.
• Collaborate with QA and Business Analysts in creating and executing test plans.
• Provide technical assistance and troubleshoot issues within assigned systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve system processes and recommend enhancements.
• Support senior engineers in deployment troubleshooting and technical problem-solving.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Maintain high-quality documentation for processes, tools, and best practices.
• Assist in provisioning and monitoring non-production environments.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline setup and modern DevOps tooling.

Skills & Technologies

Must-Have Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (0–1 year experience).
• Strong understanding of software development fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
• Exposure to programming/scripting languages: Python, Java, Go, or Shell.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems.
• Interest in DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native technologies.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent field.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• 1–2 years of engineering experience preferred.
