Role Summary
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for managing cloud infrastructure, implementing automation, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. The role involves infrastructure as code, container orchestration, monitoring, and scripting to ensure high availability and performance of applications. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve deployment processes and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure for applications and services.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Automate configuration management using Ansible.
- Manage version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab.
- Deploy and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline.
- Monitor systems and applications using CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar tools.
- Write and maintain automation scripts in Bash or Python for operational tasks.
- Troubleshoot issues related to cloud infrastructure, deployment, and applications.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize workflows and ensure best practices.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation)
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible)
- Strong knowledge of version control systems (GitHub / GitLab)
- Containerization and orchestration skills (Docker, Kubernetes)
- CI/CD pipeline experience (Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline)
- Monitoring and logging experience (CloudWatch, Datadog)
- Proficiency in Linux systems with Bash/Python scripting
