Job Description

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer with a minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience, responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability, availability, and performance of our critical systems. You will work in a 24x7 on-call rotation, ensuring that issues are swiftly identified, triaged, and resolved. Your expertise in cloud technologies, observability, automation, and incident management will drive our mission to provide world-class, highly available services. This role requires collaboration across multiple teams and a deep understanding of operational best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Site Reliability Engineering:

• Apply SRE principles to build and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure services in a cloud environment (AWS).
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines (primarily using GitHub Actions) for automated deployments.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for critical systems.

Incident Management:

• Provide 24x7 on-call support for critical systems, ensuring rapid incident detection, resolution, and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve incident response and reduce downtime.

Monitoring and Observability:

• Design and maintain observability frameworks using Splunk and AppDynamics to monitor system health, performance, and reliability.
• Develop dashboards, alerts, and reports to provide real-time visibility into system performance.

Automation & Scripting:

• Automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.) to improve operational efficiency.
• Work with ServiceNow for incident management and automate ticketing workflows.

Cloud Infrastructure (AWS):

• Manage and optimize AWS cloud environments, ensuring proper configuration and security.
• Implement certificate management practices to ensure system integrity and security.

ITIL Practices & Agile Methodologies:

• Apply ITIL frameworks to enhance incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Use Agile/Kanban methodologies for continuous improvement and operational tasks.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Strong Site Reliability Engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience in managing large-scale, highly available systems.
• CI/CD Experience with GitHub Actions.
• AWS Cloud expertise and experience in provisioning and managing cloud resources.
• Certificate Management skills for system security.
• Proficiency in automation tools or scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.).
• Strong understanding of ITIL practices, including incident, change, and problem management.
• Experience with Splunk, AppDynamics, and ServiceNow.

Good-to-Have Qualifications

• MuleSoft experience for managing integrations and APIs.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized application deployment.
• Knowledge of SQL, Postman, and API testing.
• Experience in the Pharmaceutical domain is a plus.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and their impact on service reliability.
