The Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and CI/CD processes. You will work closely with software development and operations teams to ensure the seamless delivery and operation of our applications and services.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on AWS, leveraging services like EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, ECS Fargate, and EKS.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment.
• Implement and manage container orchestration using Kubernetes on Amazon EKS.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability through proactive monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure proper application deployment and configuration management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and operational incidents.
• Implement security best practices, including access controls, data encryption, and vulnerability management.
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps, cloud computing, and infrastructure automation.
• Contribute to the improvement of DevOps processes and standards, and document knowledge for the team.
• Design and implement disaster recovery plans, backups, and business continuity strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 2 - 4 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, AWS, and managing cloud-based infrastructure.
• Extensive experience with AWS services: ECS, Fargate, EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, and more.
• Strong experience in Docker containerization and container orchestration platforms (AWS ECS and Fargate).
• Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI.
• Proficiency in AWS monitoring tools like CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third-party tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Shell scripting.
• Experience with cloud security practices, including IAM roles/policies, encryption, and vulnerability management.
• Familiarity with Version Control Systems like Git.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
• Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Microservices Architecture and scaling containerized applications.
• Experience with serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
• Familiarity with networking concepts like VPC, subnets, load balancing, and DNS.
