Job Overview

Leidos’ Multi Domain Solutions Division is seeking a Junior Cloud Engineer to support a fast-paced program with the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC). The role involves deploying, maintaining, and scaling hybrid cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, using modern DevSecOps and Everything-as-Code practices.

This is an excellent opportunity for early-career engineers to grow in a secure defense program while working with cutting-edge tools and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage virtual infrastructure in Microsoft Azure (IaaS & PaaS)
• Automate deployments with Terraform, Ansible, ARM/BICEP templates
• Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and network issues
• Ensure compliance with security and DevSecOps standards
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows
• Manage containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Configure monitoring tools for system availability
• Implement security best practices (IAM, network segmentation, encryption)
• Support compliance audits (RMF, NIST, ISO 27001)
• Document all procedures and troubleshooting steps
• Provide Tier-2/3 technical support

Basic Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship with Top Secret Clearance (SCI eligibility before start)
• Bachelor’s Degree + 2 years of experience (or Master’s + 1 year)
• Experience with software design, change management, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, Jira)
• Proficient in Linux, Windows, and networking protocols (HTTP, DNS, SSL/TLS)
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong problem-solving and analysis capabilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• DoD 8140 Basic Certification (A+, Network+, etc.)
• Interest in DevOps and cybersecurity

• Experience with Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC)
• DoD 8140 Intermediate or higher cert (Cloud+, Security+)
• Hands-on with hybrid cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Microsoft Certification (e.g., AZ-104: Azure Administrator Associate)
• Experience with DevSecOps security tools (SAST, DAST, IAST)
• Familiarity with compliance standards (NIST, OWASP, DoD STIGs)
