Key Responsibilities

• Administration of Red Hat Linux systems in a high-availability setup.
• Transition operations from traditional administration to infrastructure as code using automation/configuration management tools.
• Perform daily maintenance and administration of multiple Unix/Linux servers.
• Collaborate with product development teams to implement and support client offerings.
• Install, configure, and maintain:
  • Java Application Servers
  • Apache Web Servers
  • Database Servers
• Manage Commvault backups and file recovery.
• Configure and maintain server monitoring systems.
• Commission new servers with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Troubleshoot server hardware and manage RMA replacements.
• Provide support for VMware virtualization and enterprise storage solutions.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation.
• Work with financial exchange systems: NSE, NSE Colo, and BSE Colo.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Linux System Administration (Red Hat, Unix).
• Proficiency in VMware virtualization and storage solutions.
• Experience with Java application servers, Apache, and databases.
• Knowledge of Commvault backup & recovery tools.
• Expertise in server monitoring tools.
• Good understanding of financial exchange systems (NSE, BSE Colo).
• Strong shell scripting skills.
• Knowledge of server hardware troubleshooting and RMA processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering (preferred).
