Position: Software Engineer – Full Stack

Experience: 0–1 Years
Location: Bangalore / Pune (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)

Role Overview

As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Kerv Digital, you will develop and maintain scalable web applications using Next.js, Node.js, and AWS. You’ll work in a collaborative agile environment alongside engineers, product owners, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality digital products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using Next.js (frontend) and Node.js (backend).
• Build responsive, user-centric UIs with modern frameworks and reusable components.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs using Node.js and TypeORM.
• Write modular and maintainable code with unit and integration tests (Jest, Supertest).
• Manage infrastructure using Docker Compose, Terraform, and AWS (EC2, ECS, RDS, S3).
• Translate UI/UX designs into performant, accessible front-end components.
• Collaborate with teams through Agile practices, code reviews, and continuous integration.

Essential Skills

• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and microservice/serverless architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Next.js or React.js (including SSR/ISR).
• Expertise in Node.js, Express.js/Fastify, and TypeORM (or similar).
• Strong command of TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• Knowledge of Docker Compose and AWS services (EC2, ECS, RDS, S3).
• Experience in REST API design, error handling, and security best practices.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).

Desirable Skills

• Experience with PostgreSQL, GraphQL, MariaDB, or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Biceps).
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development.
• Prior exposure to isomorphic/universal React apps or Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).
