About the Role:

Kantar - LIFT ROI works with cutting-edge AI systems, supported by some of the newest tech available. Our systems are based on a microservice architecture in AWS cloud, with a large Kubernetes setup for running machine learning models and other products. Our “you build it, you run it” approach means your primary responsibility will be to provide infrastructure for developers.

As an SRE Engineer, you will manage Kubernetes clusters running in AWS, along with additional infrastructure such as databases, logging, monitoring, networking, and CI/CD pipelines. You'll work closely with the AI and Development teams to improve build systems, deployment systems, and custom tooling, enabling faster value delivery.

Essential Competencies:

• Collaborative Problem-Solving: Engage with team members to resolve technical issues.
• Adaptive Learning: Quickly acquire knowledge to address emerging challenges.
• Proactive System Enhancement: Identify and suggest improvements to optimize existing technologies.
• Proficiency in Linux Administration: Experience with Debian systems.
• Kubernetes Expertise: Skilled in Kubernetes orchestration (preferably with Kops).
• Docker and AWS Proficiency: Solid experience with Docker in AWS environments.
• Networking Acumen: Strong understanding of network technologies and protocols.
• Alerting and Monitoring Skills: Experience developing and managing monitoring and alerting systems.
• Programming Skills: Proficient in one or more relevant languages like Python or Go.

Desirable Additional Skills:

• Experience with Unified Logging (e.g., Graylog).
• Distributed Systems Knowledge: Experience managing distributed environments.
• Vulnerability Management: Experience with vulnerability scanning and monitoring.
• Proficiency in Prometheus for system monitoring.
• CI/CD Expertise: Experience with tools like CircleCI and ArgoCD.
• Familiarity with GitOps principles and IaC practices.
