Job Description

The VA/PT Trainee will be responsible for conducting vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, security audits, and compliance checks to ensure the security of client systems. They will also analyze malicious exploits, contribute to cybersecurity research, and publish technical findings.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on systems, applications, and networks
• Identify, analyze, and document security vulnerabilities with actionable recommendations
• Perform security audits and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Collaborate with team members to enhance security measures
• Stay updated on cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients and internal teams
• Analyze malicious exploits on various operating systems and devices, including Android and IoT
• Publish research findings via blogs, conference papers, etc.

Skills & Expertise:

Mandatory Skills:

• Basic knowledge of Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.)
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and macOS
• Understanding of Cybersecurity Principles
• Proficiency in English (written & verbal communication)
• Attention to detail in identifying and documenting security issues

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of networking protocols
• Basic understanding of x86 assembly language and reverse engineering
• Experience with security tools (Nmap, Wireshark, Metasploit, Burp Suite, OpenVAS)
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash)
• Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, web security)
• Familiarity with mobile security and application vulnerabilities
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively
