About the Role

JP Morgan is hiring Junior Java Developers through Robert Walters for their Bournemouth technology campus, with potential to convert to permanent roles directly with the bank. You'll work with Enterprise Technology Services—a strategic unit that drives JP Morgan's innovation, resiliency, and cloud-first architecture.

This is a high-growth opportunity for junior engineers to build real-world systems and grow within a global bank’s tech division.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and deliver software using Java, in an agile and scalable environment
• Work on firm-wide platforms with CI/CD pipelines, security-first practices, and resilient architecture
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve software with upstream/downstream systems in mind
• Collaborate in agile teams, using modern DevOps tools, to deliver enterprise-grade applications
• Contribute to the Digital Workflows program aimed at transforming internal tech services

Qualifications & Skills

• 1–2 years of hands-on experience with Java (Core/Advanced), or strong academic projects
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD, SDLC, testing, and system design
• Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of enterprise application architecture and secure coding standards
• Strong problem-solving skills and passion for engineering excellence
