Internship Overview

Jar is hiring a DevOps Intern to support the scalability, reliability, security, and cost optimization of its cloud infrastructure. This role offers hands-on exposure to production-grade cloud systems, used in financial services, digital payments, investment platforms, and high-volume transaction systems.

This internship is ideal for candidates aiming to build careers in high-paying DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, FinTech infrastructure, and investment technology roles.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Provision, configure, and manage AWS cloud resources following best practices.
• Support cloud security, compliance, and financial-grade reliability standards.

Kubernetes & Containerization

• Manage containerized applications and microservices using Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
• Assist with deployments, service orchestration, and scaling of cloud-native applications.
• Gain exposure to AKS and GKE environments.

CI/CD & Automation

• Contribute to building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with automation tools to improve deployment speed, reliability, and efficiency.
• Follow Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with exposure to Terraform.

Kafka & Distributed Systems

• Support day-to-day operations of Kafka clusters, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Learn distributed systems concepts used in high-volume financial transaction platforms.

Linux, Monitoring & Observability

• Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based systems.
• Participate in diagnosing and resolving issues across services and environments.
• Learn and apply OpenTelemetry for observability, metrics, logging, and tracing.
• Assist in building operational tools for monitoring, analysis, and cost optimization.

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in:
  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology
  • Or related technical fields
• Internship, academic, or personal project experience with:
  • Cloud platforms
  • Linux systems
  • DevOps tooling
• Basic understanding of:
  • Cloud computing concepts
  • Networking fundamentals
