Junior DevOps Engineer – Remote (USA)

Role Summary

IronArch Technology is seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to support cloud, DevOps, and automation initiatives. You will contribute to enterprise cloud infrastructure management, container orchestration, CI/CD pipeline automation, and infrastructure-as-code solutions.

This role provides hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, and advanced scripting languages, enabling you to strengthen your expertise in cloud automation, security, and DevSecOps best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from requirements to production monitoring.
• Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate software builds, deployments, and testing.
• Administer container platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or EKS for enterprise applications.
• Develop custom scripts and automation tools using Ansible, Python, Bash, and Terraform to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
• Support cloud infrastructure provisioning and scaling on AWS and Azure, ensuring reliability and high availability.
• Monitor and troubleshoot complex systems and cloud environments, ensuring uptime and performance optimization.
• Implement security best practices, including vulnerability scanning, compliance automation, and DevSecOps initiatives.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
• Participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 incident response, contributing to production support and root cause analysis.

Required Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 1+ years of experience supporting Linux/Unix systems, system design, and software development or administration.
• 1+ years of experience with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS).
• 1+ years of experience with scripting, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Ansible, Python, Bash, Terraform).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SDLC principles.

• Back-end software development experience.
• Exposure to cloud DevSecOps pipelines and enterprise-grade security automation.
• Experience with Opensearch clusters and index lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of security scanning tools and remediation processes.
• Experience with Java programming.
