Job Summary:
Join Ingersoll Rand’s IT Cloud Infrastructure team to manage and modernize cloud environments supporting customer-facing products. Shape scalable infrastructure with GitOps, automate deployments, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and take ownership of cloud operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Modernize infrastructure towards immutable infrastructure with GitOps methodology
- Design scalable solutions for data ingestion, processing, and visualization
- Interface cloud infrastructure with data lakes, warehouses, and IT systems
- Measure and control system performance and operational costs
- Implement best practices for reliable code deployment (staging and production)
- Collaborate in agile teams with frontend, backend, and data analytics groups
- Operate and configure Ingersoll Rand’s product cloud infrastructure
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- 3-5 years experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Proficient with GitLab CI/CD, version control, and infrastructure automation (Terraform, Shell, Python)
- Strong Linux system administration skills in cloud/virtualized environments
- Familiarity with Agile practices and tools like Jira/Confluence
- Experience with MQTT, RabbitMQ, or Apache Pulsar messaging systems
- Knowledge of NGINX web server configuration
- Hands-on experience with GCP services: GKE, VPC, IAM, PubSub, BigTable, BigQuery, Cloud Functions
- Exposure to monitoring tools like Grafana and OpenTelemetry (OTEL)
- Programming knowledge in Java, Python, or Kotlin
- Strong communication skills in English
